This is WILD! Florida has the highest number of homes for sale since August 2012 but despite this big gain, pending home sales fell to the lowest level for the month of January since AT LEAST January 2017. In other words, supply spiking yet homebuyer demand is falling. Homebuyers: homes are selling for less than the asking price on average, homes are taking longer to sell and inventory is very high. The housing market has flipped as housing supply is growing faster than homebuyer demand. The amount of homes for sale in the US in January 2025 rose to the highest level since June 2020.
